I believe we should not just tell stories that seems to pretend our life is a fairy-tale , but I also don't want my son to think that the pages are negative. So I always try to say this happened I was not happy but I always end saying to him why that is not who is : the negative part of the story, that negativity doesn't define him. But rather I'm telling him why he should look beyond that. Like I did .

I never thought this could happen but it did. I was so honored to see my name with fellow scrappers who I admire. The Spring issue of Somerset Digital Studio Magazine.

Digital Scrapbooking has allowed me to continue to document in the midst of the busy life I am right now and it's making my soul happy.

We never forget to Scrapbook

Wow I can't believe I'm even writing this post ! It's been 9 months that I took a break from blogging, classes, blog surfing but never from scrapbooking. I reduced a lot.... I needed a break. But the need for memories never stops.
Life is different now goals are different..
I went back to University to pursue something that now I know is my right path, it's what I want to do. Inspired by my son I decided to go to Childhood Psychology and hopefully later to do a Master on ABA to work with Autistic kids and Special Needs kids. It's though. Life is not the same, I have a son, he has a full schedule but I made a decision and got full support. My degree is  my priority now.
But if you are new here my blog has so much content for you, and many videos on my youtube channel.
I don't have any more paper supplies because I had to do a decision:  I do digital scrapbooking or I stop documenting my memories. So, I made the decision... digital it is.

But Lucas is going to kindergarten this year so I decided to buy a Life stories album  which is 6x8 and document his Kindergarten experience digitally and with paper. I figure this album would be easy to keep up.
Am I going to blog like before, no...but I wanted to let you know that the memories are still being made.

May Faves Layout

Summer is over the little boy started school this week and I finally can do something again, at this point I'm almost ending my Hello Story class from Big Pictures classes and I have so many layouts ideas.

But something else will keep me busy while I do that my neighbor asked my help to finish a book with layouts for her son which she told me she was trying to finish for 2 years!!

I thought : You came to the right person. :)

Well it really stroke me as she was saying how stores like Michaels overwhelms her and how she had no clue how design works and how to show the emotions she wanted in her pages. It came to me again the concept that Educating yourself and learning about design it is important so you don't get overwhelmed and you give up. Of course if you want to continue to like Scrapbook and decide to learn more.

So I'm busy creating layouts for her which I won't post here but I'm creating just I don't have time now to do my pages.

Be Still

I'm back and it's just great to have some time off with people you love and places you like.  Trying to think about changes that need to be done. A big one I'm back to a gym signed up just before my trip and tomorrow I'm doing a assessment of my shape (that should be fun).

I saw this template and thought it is totally something you can re create in a paper layout great way to use that circle punches that we all have.

Layout and vacation

I'm leaving for a deserved vacation to visit my Home Land FLorida be with people that love us and people that I love sometimes it takes you going back to your first love and home place to make you feel better.

Don't be alarmed by the layout I'm ok and taking care of myself. It takes time.

Layout and a Discovery

Recently I joined a online class something I didn't do for a long long time I did many many classes in my scrapbooking time but besides Masterful Scrapbooking Design I think the industry is the same old same old: Do like I do, buy this and buy that and buy more after that  you can make a layout like mine.

I got sick and tired of it!

 I want more meaning!

 I to be able to write more don't help me to buy more embellishments help me to make pages with meaning!

In my opinion Scrapbooking was never about artsy pages, although some people say I don't want to write I just want to play,  I respect that but I don't  agree.
 If you just want to make art do cards, do art journal, do canvas. Scrapbooking is about recording and to me more and more nowadays actually since my father died It's been a journey to leave what I wasn't left with: I have some pictures but I have no idea what happened. I want to write more!
I want to write about reality not just to write everything is cute and wonderful and my son is just wonderful well he is but he's not made just of that.

Than Ali Edwards came with Hello Story. At first I thought well it's kind of expensive but it's 12 weeks and it's Ali Edwards a person that really takes writing your story seriously, a person that puts her life out there so we can see how life is and all the details good and bad and how to document it.
I took the plunge and signed up .

More than never in this down moment in my life I need something to show me what I want to do but always struggled with : to write deeper stories, to write the everyday  because it makes us feel better, because it brings gratitude in our hearts. It has been amazing her help to give us tools and she has been so open about writing and she says that we can do this and give us a helping hand.(And this is just the 2 week !)

It's about the heart of this craft and not about products.

Feeling grateful now that I decided to sign up.

Layout and giveaway winners

I have the results from my PL paper stuff giveaway, I had some questions to answer.
If you go to my youtube page you can see that last year I did Project Life and I really loved it. The question was if I didn't like no I do but my problem is the album got huge and I had to do 2 albums. I figure that would be no viable for my house I don't have space to keep 2 albums a year.
So this year I'm doing the pages in digital format and using the pockets for memorabilia. And Lucas stuff from school so this year I can fit everything inside one album. Plus I save much more money than printing pictures and just printing one layout a month. (Which I save and print every 3 months or so.)



I had 3 people that were interested in my supplies Percy, Gail and Carolon I will devide the supplies and maybe send in some extras please send me your addresses to my email.

Back ! Love this sister layout.

I'm back from my trip it was nice and fast but I was glad to be back with my son, it was really hard to
be with far from him.
But it was good to see some family members I didn't see a long time, hard to realized some things have changed. I'm still with luggage to take care off a lot of laundry to do but glad to come back to my crafting I was really inspired after going to a craft fair in Brazil. Really awesome to see people that love to create.

Love Together

I know I have not been a good blogger, but there are so many things getting my attention out of crafting.
I'm really involved in planning other things and it all involves my son, I feel that I have more pleasure learning to help him right now that this is my opportunity because he is growing fast. I didn't loose my mojo my table is full of stencils waiting for me to use them with inks and I think tomorrow I will do it but life takes it away.
So that's why digital scrapping has been saving me because I don't have that time anymore.
But hopefully my mind will find time I will travel to visit my family soon overseas and hopefully that will spark some creativity in my mind.

Yep just like that he's 4 more layouts from his birthday to come for the first time I decided to a little party for him. He had a lot of fun !

Ok this is how is my head I did some tags on my gelli plate and I put them in a place to take pictures when the weather was better and now I can't find them ! Is that crazy or what?!
