Valentine??!

I know its not valentines, but I decided to begin to use this images before I color new ones, trying to use things I bought back them when I did not know a lot about scrapbooking and bought all this stickers and sentiment things. Funny today , I'm not a sticker fan, at all.
But, we should recycle and save...
Made a splurge this weekend for myself while I'm still working, when to my local scrapbook store and bought a slice for me, and I have to say I loved it! Got play some more.

2 Cards

Because I won't post on the weekend I will post 2 cards today, this is another stamp from High Hopes I sent to my friend in Florida, when I send cards to friends that are not in the card making world I have a tendency to control myself :) but that does not let me happy so, because we should do just things we love I will send cards I'm happy with :) but this stamp set reminds me so many good times, when I had friends to have coffee with ....the wings were done with liquid aplique.
this are are scraps, this yellow paper is taking forever maybe because I bought in a local shop like a yard of paper lol ( they sell imported papers just in "lonnnggg" sheets. Colored with Prisma and Gamsol .

The second one is Magnolia stamp very simple and fast card, the background is a paper from Clubscrap so I thought it was so beautiful that I didn't need anything else. I will see if I record a last videos before I go to Brazil this weekend.

When I went to High Hopes site and saw this new set I could not resist, they have a great set about teas and friends and remembered so much my friends from Florida , (Hi, Natalie!) I had to buy it nothing better than tea, coffee and friends. Isn't that cute? they have the very cute stuff, and their customer service is awesome !
I used scraps of paper and half of a paper doley. Colored with my good Prisma Pencils and Gamsol, some stardust jelly pen at the wings and glitter pen at the hearts.
Another great thing is that finnally I won some blog candy yeahhhhhhhhhhh !
From Melanie , I'm using her original picture because today is so dark and raining can t take pictures. This is the first time on blogs in USA I won before on Magnolia blog.

Well , in Brazil is Carnaval....such a sad thing be here int he cold
and they there having fun in the summer , Carnaval is such a
important culture time for us. Brazil stops for 1 week .
I miss that, when I was younger my mother used to take me to children's carnaval, and in Brazil we call Carnaval not Carnival....

Life is short Card

A long time I wanted to use this stamps from High Hopes and because some other projects I couldn't, I love their stamps, they are so cute. And they ship fast from Canada, what many companies right now are not doing is to ship fast !
This card was a mistake going right, I used crackled medium with acrylic paint, but I did not wait enough time for the medium to dry so was like that , and I liked too different texture. I've colored it with prisma and Gamsol, if you don't have experience with that
I have a video on my youtube page that I show that.
The sentiment is TAC one of our inspirational sets this one says : "Life is short ...make your own Joy"

Today I was excited to receive some goodies I bought I want learn more about painting,so I can tell you about later. ;)
I just finished Ali Edwards new Book Life artist (you can see on my side bar books I recommend). And I tell you if you like scrapbooking You must buy this book, if you are starting pleaseeeeeee buy this book.
It's just amazing, made me think and change my whole approach on scrapbooking.
Even if you re cardmaker or stamper, this book is about creative process, and to understand that we are all life artists, now how cool is that?
Made me think about something really interesting, we are all creative but most of us , think we are not , so she talks about many of us have creative low-esteem.humm how about that? I agree.
Another point art is not perfect , that's sooooo right !
And she talks about stamping "I love to stamp. It's one of my favorites techniques. Stamps are inherently imperfect, and I think that's one of the reason I love it"
Now,why we always think stamping has to be perfect...........?
I saw a window opening to me .........tarahhhhhhhhhhhh !
Why everything has to be neat, latest gadgets, markers, papers whatever .........?
More I'm in love with stamping I want let my mind free of these things, if people are going to like my style or not, or if my coloring is right or not.....
I have to embrace imperfection.......
Thats just me........I want stamping to be a enjoyable thing to me, where I can hide from all things that eventually make me sad.

I feel very exhausted today ! My cold came heavy I'm so glad tomorrow is friday !
I received some toys to play but I have to rest so this is a card I did before my cold

I'm really anxious about TAC new catalog we had a great preview, can't wait ....
This card is showing some changes in style, I decided to follow more what I like to do that is no rules cards , no right layers, no neat "right" layouts, I like vintage and I think you have millions of blog that follow the neat layering rules, so hope you enjoy the ride.

I just loved ! I think is so cute and fun Its impossible not to smile when you see a card like that and they send me as freebie the little chicken steps....
The Z card was made with
Clubscrap cardstock, and some scrap someone gave to me. I've colored with watercolor pencils.
Pretty soon I will have a blog candy, I'm preparing the stuff so stay tuned.

This card I had to scan but the scanner made it too bright .
But this is a simple layout card idea, where this two ends open up to show the greeting inside. I got the idea with Linda Heller .
I used pattern paper from TAC and stamp from High Hopes.
This card is so simple and fast maybe after my project I do a tutorial about it.
I watercolored it with watercolor tubes.

Another one from High Hopes Stamps, well I did not like my last card so
I made another one to compete in the challenge that going on in Poetic Artistry.
Again I have a feeling sketches help me a lot.
I think if you are a begginer thats the way to go.

Before yesterday I arrived to find a box with some beautiful gift she sent to me
to congratulate on our condo. (we just bought!).
I love this stamp because this girl's hair I think looks like mine, lol

the paper is from HOTP and the tag I made with TAC paper.
Also, on my last card I've used a heart tag I did with
my MM tag maker, so I've decided to make a video
showing it.

This card is from High Hopes Stamps, such a sweet girl.
Altough I'm not completely happy , I'm having problems with my trimmer, I think I will have to buy a guillotine, although I bought a professional trimmer, sometimes they never cut straight very thick papers.
It's very frustating, for beginners right there
to buy a good trimmer is essential.
Do have a suggestion ?
The embossed paper, I found in a local store here, just amazing I discovered this store with such unique papers,I have to hold myself otherwise I my whole wallet will stay there !
The paper is thick almost like fabric. I've colored her watercoloring with markers and her hair with chalk and blending pen.
