First Layout

This was my first scrapbook page for my Family History as I would call, I have made many minis but its time to begin the only reason I began all this.
To tell my history, to leave something behind...
And I feel as every page should have a journaling, this something I believe to tell why I;'m doing that page what emotions that brings to me. This became reality even more when I read Alis Book.
Life Artist

It confirm to me everything I wanted someone to affirm to me.
Anyway...
To the background I used a technique I found in this book:
Scraptastic!: 50 Messy, Sparkly, Touch-Feely, Snazzy Ways to Jazz Up Your Scrapbook Pages
That you watercolor the tape and use to background, maybe that would be good to a video tutorial, what do you think? The letters are Groundgeboard I doodled the music notes with white gel pen.
White acrylics on the border.
The page is 8 1/2 x 11. I have to work on a way to take a better picture. Sorry for that !

Wonderful...I love the way you've layered one photo over the other..
I would love to see a tutorial on the technique, since I'm learning how to scrapbook myself!
Fabulous!

Hi Janaina,

I love your scrapbook layout! Who is in the picture? I agree that journaling is important. I see many layouts with no journaling and I think it's a good idea to know what the layout signifies!

I look forward to seeing more of your layouts!!

Beautiful page layout Jana! this is also why I scrap, to leave a little of me & my thoughts of how much my family & friends mean to me & give future generations of my family a little insight of what we were all like. Like you said a little bit of history!
