Hybrid Layout

Hi everyone, It's been a while since I've posted we were hit by hurricane Irene and we were without power for 53 hrs. It was not fun !
But I'm back and I have today a hybrid layout that I did with some of Anna Aspnes designs. We will talk a lot more about that and do a lot more tutorials. But I wanted to show you. That digital doesn't have to be scary to me really saves me money and time and to me all counts. More and more I don't have time to play and I also don't have the space for it. Everything is valid if you're having fun, if you're recording your memories.
Anna's store at O scraps opens tomorrow! With a huge sale so great opportunity for you to try out and we will do this together and I don't if you're familiar digital supplies are very cheap even more when there is a sale going on.
On this layout I used the Find your Way Art Play Palette for the background.
So tomorrow I will come back with some more creations.

I'm really excited to announce that I'm part of the Design Team for Anna Aspnes Designs, a long time I buy her products and loved her artsy style which is great for art journal when you don't want to deal with the messy part. But I'm even more excited to have the  opportunity to show you hybrid tutorials and projects.
To show you that digital is not that complicated and can give us freedom, save  money (and I need that now) and have fun as well.

So this layout is about the learning I'm doing, I always got really excited about cookbooks but now I'm excited all over again about cooking. Not that much change and a Giveaway

Hi everyone well after all week trying to design and transfer my blog, I gave up
Well Wordpress is having problems to transfer all posts from blogger that are too big, in my case almost 4 years of blogging made a huge xml file I would have to have like a month to do all that, but that is not my reality right now with a full day and a child that most of days do not nap (like today ) but you will see some  changes in the design as you can see in my banner and my logo.
But if you were a email subscriber you will have to change your subscription please sign up again or click on my new feed on the top I have subscribe as well a easy to subscribe by email window.
Feedblitz has not been a good service and they want to charge for it.
Anyway

do what you can layout

I decided to do a page with something to remind myself with so many things going on as a mother this is what I want to say to myself.
I feel there is a change  phase going on about things I have to do for my own enjoyment so I can fully embrace what is going on with my job now as a mother and I would say as a "therapist" for my son, helping him in his journey  with Autism. I was leaving myself behind and decided this can't happened.
So I decided to change my blog and my address using my former domain Apple won't host home pages anymore  so I decided to think about doing a page that has everything including this blog. My tutorials, free projects I want to share with this community and so on. This is not right now but I'm preparing you that soon things will change and I will try to do the transition smoothly as possible for the subscribers.
Hopefully you'll join me .
Ok the I used just left over letters and the background I used this template by Crafters workshop with this new spray paint from SEI. Which is for fabric love the vibrant color.
Basically a scraps page .

Learning to play with Thomas Layout

My Wish List #5

Well this last days were pretty busy for us, after many meetings Friday was the big day for Lucas treatment everyone came here to decided what they were going to give me about my request for more time. So we got a 3 hour increase and feeding therapy which is something I wanted a lot. Anyway sorry for taking me such a long time to update.
Anyway,
I decided to tell you some books are on my wish list

This one I'm waiting anxiously because I want to practice some more doodling. I love Traci's style did a couple of classes with her and I have her previous book and her dvd. So I'm a big fan.
Her new book is on pre sale right now

As you can see you can buy used for less than $4 at Amazon totally worth it.

I love their magazine and I liked a lot the table of contents which you can see it at Amazon and even some first pages.

This is another one from Alisa Burke a mixed media artist and I want this one because I so want get better on my free motion sewing, this one is on pre sale but you can see a video on the amazon page














I have her precious book which is awesome a lot of techniques to paint with canvas

Adore you Layout

So while it seems Lucas won't nap again I think nap days are totally gone now third day so far and no nap, anyway I was using some left over from this sticker sheet and border paper from Playground collection from Echo Park. I did the circles with my old and good coluzzle . I can't get enough of Ali Edwards stamps from her Stamp Club. Which I'm very excited to get the August one. The adore fabric words from Donna Downey.
