Candy Box by Cricut

Hi everyone,
Valentines is approaching, and this year I decided to actually do some valentines cards and favor boxes. yeah!
This one is from the love struck cricut cartridge, if you have a cricut , this cartridge is so worth it, it has some beautiful images.

Mariposa Papers

I'm going to show how to do your own canvas pages with stencils and acrylic paint, stitch around it and all, the pictures are in canvas also.

I was so happy that many of you , were on the show yesterday !

Envelope Pocket Mini Album

First I want to thank all that comment here and sent messages on twitter, I really appreciate the support and care. Still hard I didn't call my aunt yet because I'm sure I will break down if I try that. But I did sent flowers, Thank God for the internet that gives us this possibility to be in one country and send flowers to any person in any place.

Because crafting keep us going and distract us , I'm going to show you this mini I did for Everything Scrapp'n Crop.
It was based in this video tutorial from Laura. But I wanted to be faster and include more pages, so I did normal simple tags instead the pocket that she shows, and I made extra pages and bind it with the bind it all, I used number 10 envelopes. You can definitely use a rings to bind this if you prefer.

Some bad news..

Tonight I received one of that phone calls, when you family calls you and you know over there is midnight you know that phone you wouldn't like to hear happens.
My uncle died tonight and I post with my broken heart and my tears of sadness to loose another loved one in my life...It's been hard to accept why, but I believe he is better now, maybe he and dad are having a posted conversation.
As for me I just needed to put out there, wherever he is my appreciation for everything he was always to me and my sister.
It's inconceivable right now to me the fact that I won't see him anymore. He was such a good person and always very caring with me and my sister and one of the few in my extended family that felt like more than family.
Why this happen to such a good and caring person I don't know, but I do know he was a God's son. And God in my belief knows better.

He will forever be missed . Saudades Eternas.

Love layout with Cricut

Hi everyone


I bring to you a simple layout, Valentine's Days is close and thought this would be a great opportunity to scrap this picture, from when me and my husband start dating. Long time ago ! LOL
There is a journaling tag behind the photo.
I used this cute cute cartridge called Love struck . Great for valentines .
The overlay on the picture is from Ali Edwards digital line.
The background paper is Prima & Pink Paislee.

I do a couple of reminds:

- This weekend Saturday and Sunday I will live doing a online crop with Everything Scrapp'n at 9pm Eastern I will be teaching 2 mini albums.At the store's Community.
And has prizes so I hope to see you there to chat and answer questions.

- I will be having my live show on 01/28 I'm doing a mini album to record 2009 and will be using fabric, cardboard , wood picture frame, many different materials hope to you see there also.

My Layout of the Best of 2009 is a hybrid layout, I started with the digital template from Kathy Zielske from printed matted on this beautiful Violette Wings Webster Pages paper. Added some thickers and printed a swirl with the cricut. Added some Prima birds & butterflies pebbles .
2009 was a very blessed year I intend to record it a lot.

For this layout I 've used the Pink Paislee papers, Websters trim, the journaling I just glimmer misted white cardstock and put on the printer and used fiskars water thread punch, and flowers .

2 Cards with Cricut + some other info

Hi everyone hope your weekend has been great and that you're keeping youself warm , it's been cold right, I tell you here in Central NJ is no different !

I made couple of fast cards with my cricut, the bird is from the Wild Card Cartridge, and Swirl I think home accents. The other bird is Home Decor cartridge.

I'm planning to restart my live show , I want to start a mini album to record some highlights from 2009.

Photoshop Playing - Collage and tips for PSE

I just finished a awesome digital collage class with Renee Pearson, and there is so much more I have to learn, but I see my skills and understanding of PSE growing each day more, to the point I can see things now and figure how they were done.
You can ask , well what this has to be with paper crafting or scrapbooking, well in my opinion has everything to do with it. Because each day more stamping companies and Scrapbooking companies are stepping into the hybrid step. Which can give us freedom to be creative and save money.

This class was to advanced stage but if you want take this step this year and learn PSE Renee has started a Just Basics class. I don't receive anything to talk about her, but she was such a awesome teacher, it was one of the best PSE online classes I have done. I'm sure her basic class will teach you a lot.

Some books I would recommend:





Matt is my idol, he is part of a website I'm a member called Photoshop Elements User learned a lot from him there, and did a layers class with him through Kelby Tranning, as all their PSE classes.
Layers is fundamental on PSE, there is many books about tricks , but you do the trick and than later you don't understand or know how to again. I believe you have to understand first.

And great resource to understand the PSE as a whole.

Table Hybrid Calendar and my word for 2010

Hi everyone, I'm in the middle of a cold, it has been such a long time I didn't have one that I forgot how annoying it is. Always when I go from hot place to cold place I get this.
Anyway, I did this hybrid project for my husband , this table calendar for him to put at his table at work.
I got the calendar for free here. So, you get the template, print fold, glue and that's it ! She also gave free the date stamps, in my case I chose Portuguese but she has in English in the same free file.
I would like to show something new on my Etsy store, now also Custom Photo Bottle Cap Magnets, and pretty soon other designs also. I thought this would be a great affordable gift !

Everyone in blog land is talking about one little word from Ali's idea about your word for the new year.
My word is Appreciation

I decided to think more and reflect about really the values that matter, I have a tendency to be a complainer and I have been working hard on listening more, don't give my opinions when not asked and complaining less and be more appreciative. Its been hard , LOL
But I see myself doing some changes I never thought I would , and my husband helped me a lot in this process to show me things I was not paying attention.

I'm really sad this days because there is a person in my extended family, my uncle , really sick with cancer and he is a person that I respect and like so much, one of the few people that gave me and my sister some love when my father died, specially my sister.
Funny how life is they knew each other since young age , went to navy together, my father made him to meet my aunt and now he is dieing of the same disease. I'm really sad why such a good person have to go through this .But its beyond our comprehension the paths that God give us.

So . this is my word and work for 2010.
Appreciate life, everyday life, every minute, appreciate health, friends....

Welcome 2010 with some Stamping !

One more time Happy New Year everyone ! I hope you had a great celebration, we stayed quiet at home as Lucas still sleeps early and I don't want to break his schedule. And it was freaking cold !
It has been so cold that I don't have the courage to go out of home , LOL it's just so many things to go out with a baby on winter time, for the time I dress him up I'm tired LOL.

I got a mild cold I think from the difference of weather between here and FL so my energy level is not so high. And trying to avoid to pass it on Lucas is it possible?

Anyway,
This year brings many exciting new adventures, I'm going to be part of Create Scrapbooks, it's going to be a new live show on Facebook with some talented ladies and I'm so happy they invited me, read more about it here . We are going to start soon !
My live show will continue but not in a regular basis I will post dates on the side bar, check here in there specially if you read this on reader as you don't see the side bar.

Nothing like starting the year, stamping, my card was made with Flourish Stamp set. Basic Gray paper and some 3d fabric paint for the embellishments on the cake.

Hi everyone Happy New Year !
I'm back from my vacation but still didn't have time to create nothing , still unpacking and doing some shopping as we 're pretty empty here.

Well, on October my husband gave me a Cricut Expression, so my little bug has been quiet, I saw some people selling their around but I'd like to giveaway for a person that would love to use the cricut. She is in excellent shape, working great and already with the hardware updated for the gypsy I actually used the gypsy quite few times with her. I will also include a brand new mat 6x12 that I didn't have chance to open.

But because it's way over my budget to ship if you would like it you have to agree to pay the shipping.

Here is the rules:

- you have to have a paypal account.
- You send to me $35.00 for shipping if it's less I will refund through Paypal, if it's more you agree to refund the rest to me.
- US address only.
