Yesterday was my anniversary, 9 years and 14.5 that we know each other. How time goes fast, I met my husband I was 19 wow. So we went for dinner first time alone, and left Lucas with a baby sitter , I was trying really hard not to think about him. I try people :) but I crazy to get home to check on him, sleeping of course ...motherhood indeed is a funny thing.

Hi everyone, hope you had a nice weekend.
Saturday was super busy for us, we went to a Italian fair and grocery shopping we got home like 6:00pm Lucas was a super trooper. I think he is getting used for the busy weekends.

Here's my first digital design as a CT member of Paperbagstudios I love their artsy products, because I like my digital pages to more like playful and artsy not a lot of journaling sometimes just things for me to enjoy and have my eyes pleased. But sometimes it does help to save time to do a regular page digital.

Here's what we're going to do next week , a Hybrid Mini Album

We are going to work with digital designs and stamps from PaperBagStudios, I'm not going to use this exact same papers but we are going to do the same style. We are going to do some techniques with glimmer mist and how to do your own mist, and how to do your own stencils and much more. The cover of this album is fabric, so if you have canvas to use in your printer, the album is going to be 4x6.
I've used the Henna Papers for this one.
Talking about PaperBag Studios I was very honored and excited that Roben-Marie the owner called me to make part of her CT team. I've followed her work a long time with her art journals on pages of Stampington magazine and loved her Digital work and PaperBagStudios has also a collection of Rubber Stamps more directed to art and vintage all that yummy stuff. I loved mixed Media and all her products are great if you like that also.
Also in her blog she has some nice tutorials of her journals, art tags and PSE. Just click on the tag art journal so see a Glimpse of her work.

I'm excited that we bought tickets for our vacation in Florida on December, to spend Xmas with friends, I miss my friends from Florida. (hi Natalie :) )

Snoopy woke up today really bad from his allergies, I can wait for the winter come so he can have a break. Poor him his eyes are all purple and swollen :(

When I read Michelle's post I went right away to buy this. She is a Brazilian digital designer that lives in Australia and I discover her work recently participating in one of the live chats at ReneePearson.com
The good thing is that reading the product TOU (terms of use) it allows for S4O (Scrap for others) that is great ! That means I'll do one for my sister also so she can carry around with her.
I printed in photo paper. I use HP photo paper but I've discovered recently that HP photo paper is great for my scrapbook layouts but not so much for Hybrid projects it's too thin and scratch easily maybe I will buy Epson Premium paper as Michelle told in the chat to try.

Today we are going to say good bye to one of the few friends we have living in our area, sigh
they decided to go back to Brazil after 5 years here. I guess is not easy for everyone.
But I'm happy for them because people have to be where they feel happy. But now even less friends here.

One of my favorites companies now is Pink Paislee I think they are coming up with some great designs and very affordable and good quality product. I was waiting their new line from CHA anxiously. So when I saw this papers from the Twilight collection for Halloween I thought was perfect to do this pictures our only one for occasion, I'm sure when Lucas get bigger we will have plenty of Halloween pics to scrap.

Here in central NJ is so dark and rainy and kind of cool like 56F but there is a lot of wind , actually there a tornado warning for a county close to mine.

This layout was very emotional to me, to journal about this city is always hard to me, but it's the truth .

I'm very mad at adobe, that didn't release yet PSE 7 for mac , and because of this I can't upgrade my Mac to Snow Leopard argh. Why they are so lazy to make things for mac, I don't because I think most users of PSE use mac anyway.

On a personal note, Snoopy now is taking shots for his allergy, Carlos is giving them and I just hold him, I can't stand to poke him with needles. I hope this treatment helps because his allergies are really bad, but is a long treatment and expensive but anything to make him feel better, I'm glad for him summer is ending so he can stay a little better.

Digi Layout & need your input on something

Hi everyone.

I finally had time to make a digi layout , I did this to my friend. With this lovely kit from Paperbagstudios. What is nice is that Paperbag is one of the few places that has good prices S4O kits, that actually allows that. What is that mean? Scrap for others, so if you buy a digital kit and it says personal use only , you can't scrap for friends even if it's not for money. So just to give you some information about digital stuff, because usually commercial licenses are for that. So I much appreciate Paperbagstudios products for that.

This is one of my best friends, we did high school together and today we are both mothers, ok I took longer to decide that, but that's ok. And she is the only one that never ever forgot me. You know when you live your original place for more than 8 years like me many people forget you. Or worse just remember you when you are going there to ask gifts. Anyway,

I need your input !
If you notice on the top bar I have a poll going on, I had this idea of streaming a live show for us to do a mini album or mixed media projects together. Well you could just follow me or do it together. After watching great live shows about scrapbooking it got me excited, it is so much fun! The chat & friends really cool. But I need to know what do you think, because I don't want to be talking to myself lol So please vote, if I see people like the idea then I will think in a time probably at night as my son don't go to school yet lol and nap times are not the same everyday.

Mixed Media Mini

This mini I made to experiment with some things that were on my mind, there is a variety of products and techniques.

First I used some digital products and printed them.
I used Shabby floral Papers from Paperbagstudios
The tags and word arts are from Ali Edwards for Design Digitals
I've printed the word arts in transparency and printed the tags , what I do I just create on PSE a new document 8 1/2 x11 " and drag all tags I wanted to use and printed. Same way with the word art they also come with a brush kit so I just used the brushes on my document.

Some imported papers from Paper Source , masks , distress inks stencils & Hambly overlays.
The cover is transparency with alcohol inks and also a cricut design on the cover.

I have been busy changing some of my craft things from place, I decided to put my craft table and some stuff on my bedroom and remove from Lucas bedroom that will give me more time to make things. A lot of things still there and it will be because I live in a condo and don't have a art space just for me. But it's ok the important things is to keep creating ,I loved it I'm lucky my bedroom has a lot of space so it still pretty big. I'm excited about the change.
