Altered Shadow Box
Well, the picture is not nice, because I took from the wall, and the light was not that great.
This kind of shadow box is really common in Brazil, but after seeing how much they were charging, plus for my sister to send here, I thought i can do my own.
But, I left too much to my end period
so I could not do as many details as i would like but I'm satisfied with the ending result.
I found this plush boy on Ebay for $0.99 lol
Shadow box on Michaels , it was on sale, I had to give many coats of white because was gray. Little wooden toys, on Michaels also for a buck each.

I'm 38 weeks today, probably from now on I won't post everyday because I'm saving things I'm doing for schedule posts later.
I begin to do some of Lucas 8x8 Album, and I want to see if I record a free tutorial before my labor, which seems will go till the end of 40 weeks.
I have tons of ideas but some days too tired, but I'll get there :)
Yesterday I was thinking that in moments like this, you see real friends. My friends that are in other states, although not here with me, everyday they show me that distance it's just a detail. The know we don't have family and my mother is not coming. So, everyday I have a support from someone.
Yesterday I received a very generous gift for Lucas and a very touching card. I'm so happy for the friendships I was able to do here. Sure you miss them, but I know I have them anyway. ;)

Digi Layout for Shutterfly
I'm creating some digi layouts for a shutterfly album that I want later to send to my family in Brazil, and a copy for me with some more worked PSE photos. It's hard to send real layouts.And I didn't want to use the templates shutterfly had too boring for me.
Tomorrow there is another video tutorial here how to make your pdf files into PSD files.
I schedule that.

Your 10 days Mini Album
I got the idea to do the same style as people did to the albums on Xmas with thecountdown, but in my case it will be the first 10 days of Lucas Life.
This is the base album, as I will change probably with some accents as I see the pictures. Later I will show the final product.
I used to digital elements on this Album, again the hybrid thing that help us.
First the album is 5x7 mirror album from Heidi Swapp.
The date circles are PSE brushes from Ali Edwards that I changed on PSE to fit my 1 1/4" punch from SU. I will prepare a video tutorial how you can size your brushes. I printed them on sticker paper from Avery and used the scalloped punch from SU. These brushes are actually on sale today.
Also some pages are hybrid templates from House of 3 , altough the printable comes on pdf I had to change them to PSE files to accomodate the size of my album, I will show a tutorial on that as well.

Little Trees Card
This card goes to one of the ladies from my art group that is sick again, wishing her good things.
My friend is gone, and it feels kind of empty, as is just me and snoopy during the day here.
My doctor is very surprise Lucas still inside by the way I'm very very swollen and heavy.
But I'm ready to go, Lucas bag is ready, my bag is ready I said to him: You can come :)
But seems he is in a nice place :)
As his day approaches though I think I will miss him inside me,and his movements, such a short period comparing to the long life of a child. Despite the things of last few weeks, I'm very very grateful my Pregnancy was such a smooth and healthy one.

Baby Shower Table Slide
I'm sorry the last slide had music, I hate music on blogs, and I didn't know slide was putting that.
So, I dont like when you checking a blog like 10pm and that music comes, I like when its a option when the reader can choose to listen or not. Sorry , I know some of you have this, but personal opinions right !
Anyway, some pictures of Baby Shower table, handmade cake it was delicious, Brigadeiros (A Brazilian Sweet from Chocolate and condensed milk , LOVE IT ), I didn't edit all pictures, but I probably won't post the guests here, that would need their permission, sorry again.
I did some favor bags, using many different stamps on the cover, Flourish, magnolia, Whipper Snapper and one Giraffe I bought on Michaels. The monogram stamp is from Martha Stweart.
I bought her monogram set comes with plus 3 different circles for $10 you can't beat that.
I have a friend coming from Florida today to spend 2 days with me to, cook for me and freeze food, I just missed my friends from Florida, I wouldn't feel so alone if I was there I'm sure.
Now that I can barely walk, and stand up for more than 3 minutes I see that sometimes family around is a nice thing. But I'm very blessed to have some nice people that came to help me this week, and friends that come to help. So God is good !

Baby Shower Tag Book

Yesterday I went to Dr. and My cervix is 3cm open, so it can happen anytime. So trying to rest, and hoping nothing happens till the weekend, because I don't have some essentials yet.

Pocket Card
I did this pocket card for my Baby Shower Hostess ,you can see a tutorial here, I didn't do same measures but I followed the concept.All stamps are SU. And the ink is Ranger Distress ink.
I will post this week the Baby Shower favors, I have not been felling well, so I'm really really slow.
Probably it will be some days between posts, as I can barely walk because difficulties of pregnancy, nothing serious but something very peculiar that gives me a lot of pain. And my anemia is not helping either. So, I won't be able to post as often.
Trying to finish baby laundry, and his stuff and get ready, I still have some necessary things to buy.
Have to get ready for my doctor today.

Photoshop Playing and reflection

Today I was reading Ali Edwards blog and as she is close to her baby probably anytime, she was talking about think about her life all this time with 1 child.
I understand because as I go to my 36 weeks, I think how my life will be different in some weeks, I tell my husband all the time, how is going to be after all this years just me and you, a completly different family, after 13 years just us, it's going to be at least to me different. He doesn't think about that, as I think all men but I do. Many things happened and God I think prepared to this moment to have this child just us me and him as a family and no help, which I never thought it would happen, I remembered 8 years ago thinking I would never have a child here without my mom helping me, and today I feel ok with it. Anyway, enough of self reflecting.
Soon , I will post a video tutorial on how to use digital elements on text editor like word, or other you have I say that because I use Open Office for Mac that is pretty much like word excel and so on.But it's free, not giving my money to microsoft anymore lol

Happy Birthday Card and Thank you
As my friend just received this today, I could post this card, Magnolia on watercolor.It's been a good 3 days relaxing at home, we had snow yesterday, so I'm getting some things ready on my rhythm, preparing for Baby shower Sunday, that should be fun :)
It's been overwhelming the pouring of generosity of my distant friends.
I received this last week on the mail .
With handmade cow from Maria and Natalie, Natalie : Спасибо ! Thank you ! my friend, you are the proof that distance doesn't end friendship.I received yesterday 2 boxes also full of clothing from another friend from Florida. I was so happy and amazed with her generosity that made me cry. She just had a baby boy and sent 2 big boxes loaded for me.
When I first arrived in this country I was her baby sitter. I saw her daughter grow, and they never forgot me, this is what matters in life, love from true friends and people that never forget you.
I still send her daughter cards every month, I called her and I said to her : you can give cards to your friends at school, and she said: no,,,I want to keep to myself, I have a box for them...made me happy !
Well, shopping this weekend saw this plush at Sam's club, and because of the price could not resist, my intention was to buy a Elmo, a big one, because I love Elmo ! I think he is a great character to Lucas grow with. But I saw this and remembered me snoopy and was $19.90 and people is HUGE !!
Lucas is going to love it ! I can see him laying down on him already !
But I still want a Elmo ;) maybe now a small one.
Here he is going home ;)

This is the time Hybrid Layout
So the picture is about 7x7 did a effect with the digital paper and added a frame with PSE 6 (mac), this frame was a freebie if i'm not wrong from Ohscraps.
The fun thing about digital is that there's a lot of freebies.
In a totally normal way of scrapping I could never do a effect like this with my pictures.
Printed, than used some papers and stamps from Unity Stamp, and it's done.
